How to add a Heated Build Plate to a Mini Kossel

Good morning all you makers out there- I wanted to do a short blog about how to add a heated build plate or a HBP to your Mini Kossel 3D Printer! It's really easy and all you need is a few things from

So to get started you'll want to flip over your Custom MakerGeeks Round PCB HBP and find the two solder pads at the bottom of the plate;

Then you'll want to solder your two hook-up wires to those pads, polarity won't mater on this so you can use any color you want.

Then attached your 100k NTC with some hi-temp tape (Kapton works great) - and you should have a HBP that looks like this:

You'll want to extent the 100k NTC wires with some small gauge hook-up wire or even a dupont crimp connector so you can run it to wherever you have your RAMPS 1.4 board mounted. 

Then the 2 power-leads that you soldered to the HBP will go into the "D08" screw-down terminal slots for the HBP and your two 100k thermistor hook-up wires will go to the "T1" connection on your RAMPS board. 

Now mount your Custom MakerGeeks Round PCB HBP on your Mini-Kossle and attach the Mini-Kossel boroscopic glass plate and you'll be ready to print in ABS or anything else that might need a HBP.

Happy Monday to you... hope you are doing great today; wanted to share something that was on my heart this morning about MakerGeeks and what’s going on and what the next steps are for us.
